The Indian smartphone market is now being dominated by the Chinese forces, and just when I thought that they were probably going on a vacation for a while, to let the other players have some fun, we have yet another mid range contender from China, and this time its from ZTE. Dubbed the ‘Z9 mini’, the smartphone has everything that will make it a frontrunner, and probably even snatch the crown from the alpha lion of the pride.
Its only been a few months since Micromax and Cyanogen tied up to launch their first ever cyanogen phone. The Yu Yureka, as it was christened evoked a decent response, but ultimately succumbed to pressure from obviously better competition. I remember the first time I read about the Yureka, I was actually left wondering as to why exactly a cyanogen phone was being made at all.
Huawei has struck the budget market yet again with two stunning , new devices for almost unreal rates. The two devices,
namely the 4C and Bee have been placed under the ‘Honor’ branding, which means you probably won’t see the Huawei badge on these devices as well.
Samsung may have taken the leap to metal , but that doesn’t mean they have totally abandoned plastic. The company still believes that with the right treatment, even their Plastic build phones can capture the desired market. That’s why the new Samsung Galaxy E7 is made entirely out of Plastic, but trust me when I tell you, the plastic does not hinder the progress of the phone altogether. Sure, you may scoff at the downgrade, but on closer inspection, you will see that the E7 is indeed a pretty upmarket device.
Its that time of the year when LG come out with their next fighter to take on their competition. While the Flex 2 managed to hold on to the throne for a bit, it was quickly overthrown by the Superior Note 4. However, the Korean Game of Thrones will continue with the advent of the LG G4.
