I am back with yet another edition of Blast from the Past. For those who don’t know about this, what I basically do is Revisit some of the most iconic smartphones of the past, and try to review them . For this week’s Blast from the Past, I am going just a few years back, and reviving one of the most amazing phones to ever grace this planet. The phone for this week’s Blast form the past is none other than the Nokia N8.

Sony is currently in a big mess in terms of , well, everything . The TVs aren’t exactly flying off the shelves like in the past, the Phone sales are next to zero, while Laptops are now no longer in existence, and just when I thought that Sony would put their time, money and talent into making their next flagship, the best in the world, I gazed upon this.
Motorola have been on a roll these days with back to back hits. They have touched every price segment with some of the best and economical phones yet. Some feel the Moto E could use a bump up, but if Motorola did give it an upgrade, it would fall in the same segment as the Moto G, and I don’t think thats on Motorola’s agenda right now. But I am not here to talk about the phones at the lower end of their spectrum ( Moto E and Moto G ). I am also not going to talk about Motorola’s Flagship devices ( Moto X and Nexus 6 ). In this article I am going to quick review a device that has become a franchise of its own under Motorola .
The Galaxy S6 was launched in India today, and boy is it ready to sweep the competition. The Koreans have struck fast and with intent as they look to get some of that market share that they lost due to the doomed S5. The MWC 2015 saw many major companies feature their flagship devices. One company however, chose to be different, and that company is none other than Huawei. Instead of going the natural route and presenting the world yet another flagship, Huawei played it smart and chose instead, to debut a whole array of products, except a flagship.
Its a very well known saying that, everything goes round in circles, nothing is ever new. The same can be said about smartphone trends. How exactly ?
Huawei is one of those companies who have really set an example in the budget smartphone domain. WHile its true that their flagships are no less competent, its their budget lineup that works its magic when it comes to sale. After a barrage of successful devices in the low and mid range levels, Huawei has struck again with yet another upper mid range device, called the Huawei Honor 6.
The MWC saw some really amazing mobile devices, but the pick of the lot was easily, the Galaxy S6, and its ‘Edge’ sibling.
The S6 is not the next big thing, its a reboot. Samsung has aptly called the Samsung Galaxy S6 ” Project Zero “. But was there really anything wrong with the S-line – the standard-setter, the home of the super droids? OK, design needed some looking into for sure. But then again, other brands do facelifts – Samsung goes for a complete overhaul.
I Guess this was the message they wanted to send.
And if it means giving up the memory card slot, the removable battery and the waterproofing, so be it. That’s part of the message too.
The MWC was very fruitful for Lenovo, as they took the platform to display an array of new devices. All of them boasted some good designs, but the one that stood out among the pack was the Lenovo Vibe Shot. This device , is arguably, one of the best brought out by Lenovo, who has been on quite a roll with the Vibe series.
